22 regions
22 regions, and the app writes numbers the way you do
A language is not a country. Calqira also asks where you are, then adapts its currency, its VAT rate, its unit system and its number format.

In France it writes the first, in the United Kingdom the second — and it reads both, whichever way you type.
The right VAT rate
Preset for your region, and changeable in the settings whenever you need another one.
Metric or imperial
The converter and the geometry module follow the system your region uses.
Your currency
Shown in the tip, VAT and discount modules, without any conversion or network call.
Region and language are set separately: you can read the app in English and keep euros, metric units and a French VAT rate.
Advertising and funding
Advertising and funding
Calqira is free. A banner at the bottom of the screen funds its development.
The banner is served by Google AdMob, and it is the only part of the app that talks to the outside world. Everything else — every calculation, every setting — happens on your phone.
The ad request goes out with no targeting attached: no keyword, no content, no category derived from how you use the app. Nothing you calculate goes into it. In Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form appears on first launch, and no ad is requested until you have answered.
Privacy
Nothing you type leaves your phone. The policy says exactly what the banner receives — and what it never receives.
